I'm using a monitor (iMac 20) and printer (R2400) calibrated with PrintFix Pro 2.0 and I'm getting some prints with a slightly magenta cast. For instance, a couple I shot two nights ago both appear to be wearing magenta lipstick. I am meticulously careful to assign my monitor calibration profile to the image and print with the .icc file I generated specifically for the Ilford Pearl paper I'm using. It doesn't happen on many images, but it is happening on one of my "money shots". So, given that this image as processed is going to be a bit on the magenta side, what would be the best way to adjust the color so that it's not? When I see it on the calibrated monitor it looks perfect. When the R2400 sprays it, it's kinda pinkish...
I hate to ask dumb questions, but if you have switched papers, did you remember to switch profiles on the printer as well? I have (not) done this on way too many occasions.
Kelly you don't need to assign your monitor profile to the image. The only profile that should be assigned to the image is the working space.Just select your printer/paper profile in the print dialog Also have you remembered to turn off colour adjustment in the print driver?
