I went to Chautauqua early this morning but the sunrise was unspectacular (no clouds over the flatirons and haze in the east prevented nice color on the rocks) I got a good parking space though. However, the flowers in the meadow are looking pretty good, there is still a lot of yellow there. They probably won't last too much longer so if anyone's planning to go now is the time. I took a hike to Royal Arch and saw a lot of penstemon and blue flax but also some lupine and aster here and there among other things along the way, especially on the Bluebell Trail. I took this shot later in the morning on my way down when some clouds had appeared. Yay!
Looks nice. The front meadow was looking kinda slim when I drove by yesterday morning; glad you found the Good Stuff a bit further in.

Actually, the meadow is looking really good right now. The arnica probably peaked a few days ago, and is starting to fade, but there are still some nice ones to shoot. There is some penstemon coming in now, and the golden banner is looking really good. The lupine is starting to bloom in some spots, but I think next weekend will be great for a lupine display.
As Joshua pointed out, the sunrise left a little to be desired on Sunday (my fault, the clouds disappear whenever I'm around), but the flowers were pretty impressive.
