Yellow Lady Slipper
Here is a rare yellow lady slipper from Eshqua Bog in Hartland, VT. We were surprised to find them in bloom, since it is earlier than we went to see them last year.

Michelle,

Nice vertical of this rare flower. I am amazed they are blooming this early, many of the flowers around the northeast seem to be about on time or a few days later. I like where you placed the leaves in this comp, particularly the one curling towards the lens that moves from inside the DoF to outside the DoF!

Very attractive shot of this flower. I imagine it's tough to get a clean shot on these, and the composition and background look great. And the colors are gorgeous.

One of these years I'll time these right, but if they are going early, no dice this year...

I zipped up to the Bog early this morning and there was a second flower close to the boardwalk. These flowers look like they will be there thru the weekend especially since it is forecast to be cloudy and cool.
