Trevor's beautiful picture of second beach made me dig back to last november and reprocess one of my shots from Third Beach. I was lucky to have no clouds and a minus tide, which revealed these normally submerged rocks. I played with the color and detail on the farther out rock a bit, let me know what you think, thanks.
Nice, Andy - the focus looks just a bit soft, but the colors are very calming (frame this for a dentist's office!). A tiny detail is the spot of bright light shining through the trees on the cape -- for me, it's not big enough to be the focal point, and my eye wants to go to the smaller rocks off the cape, so I'm thinking to tone down this spot to be more opaque, and a continuation of the rest of the tree line. It feels like a summer image, and of course that can still be a "brrr" in the PNW!
This feels like a fall image to me, so brrr seems very apt! The continuous spectrum of reds and yellows is different and easy to view. Until Tom mentioned it, I didn't even take note of that "bright" spot through the trees on the cape.
I'm glad you did dig back to November to find this and then post it!
