Fall NENP Outing Acadia National Park ??

OK the pixels are not dry from the spring NENP outing and I'm already proposing the autumn 2007 version. During the weekend in Gorham I mentioned that we ought to try and do an autumn outing in Acadia and many people seemed to like the idea. Therefore I am proposing that we plan on the Autumn outing the weekend of October 19-21, 2007 up in the Bar Harbor area. I am very familiar with some great photo locations for the foliage season and of course there are great photo opportunitites that are not foliage related.
Since this would be a long drive for most people I thought I would formally test the idea with all the NENP folks and see what you think. If you are going to go that far away it would probably be a good idea to plan on an extra day or two. It is for this reason I wanted to ask everyone's opinion and if we do schedule this time to plan for it.

Please use this thread to voice your opinion of the autumn outing in Acadia National Park.

I would definitely be game for that weekend, or some other if this date doesnt work out. We would probably need to make reservations shortly.

I may be interested in that as well. Only thing is, I may have to attend a work conference in Vegas right about the same time. I will let you know when I find out dates.
Been a while since our "oh so successful" moose outing!

I would certainly be willing to make the trip, and can only assume that I'll be able to make the dates work...

I am definetly up for Acadia.....now if the the "real" job has me in the area is a different question.

I was planning a trip to Acadia around then anyway so can plan around this.

Looks like we will have enough folks heading to Bah Habha in October to have an autumn meeting up there. I will be in Bar Harbor this coming Saturday and Sunday nights and as well as taking some pictures I'm going to check out the hotel/motel situation, and look for a place where we can find a room for our meeting. Lets all plan on the weekend of October 19- 20, 2007. Since it is a long drive I would advise people attending to try and add an extra day to the weekend. I will try and get there a day early and hlp take people around to good places for photo's on Friday.
