Earlier I posted some info about this spot and have since visited it a few times. Here is my favorite shot, taken yesterday evening. I hope it gives you a feeling of the place.

Any critiques or comments welcome - I used a 3 stop grad and a tad of post processing. I think I may be able to get more detail out of the sky if I spend some more time in Photoshop.

Wow, that's alot of Rhodora! The exposure and light look fine, but I might even brighten or saturate the foreground flowers a bit more. I like the few petals on the boardwalk, I think they add alot.

Do you have a landscape shot as well? That might work too, depending on what's outside this frame!

I hope to camp this week on some ledges in the Whites with this in bloom flower, but I might have to try out your spot if the weather looks bad for bivying at 3000Ft, it's such a nice flower!

Jim,

I do have a horizontal from a different day...The heath is a cool place, if you do decide to check it out. I am going to Acadia for a full week June 9th to do a workshop with Tony Sweet. Should be fun.

Happy shooting -

Fred
