It's a long way down...
20D, 28-90, f22, 1sec (ish!)

Captured on the weekend at a popular waterfall walk in the Brecon Beacons NP. Was worried that the figure would appear blurred, but surprisingly he came out sharp in the final image.

C&C always appreciated.

I hope he stayed there and didn't succumb to an attack of vertigo! He adds a very nice sense of scale to a well framed image. Pity the weather looks miserable.

Pete,

Lovely image, love the sense of motion in the water. I just hope he wasn't a photographer looking for his gear!!!

Regards Chris.

Hi Pete,
Would have been a nice shot without the person, but I think it's even better with them.
Very obliging of them to wear that bright red jacket,a more muted colour wouldn't be half as effective,IMHO.

I like the shot and the man adds to it a lot.

I reckon he dropped some money down there..hence being static for so long

Nice Pete. Great sense of scale :toast:

I feel like the little boy and the emperor's new clothes. I like the idea of the image but not the execution I'm afraid. Waterfalls do not look like this in real life IMHO.
The slow shutter speed just blurs the motion without showing the subtle nuances of the interaction between moving water and the ambient lighting. It is a cliche that as been perpetuated ad nauseam as far as I am concerned. Now I've got that off my chest I feel much better
