Storm Tide (Color Version)
Here is the color version of my 'storm tide' image on ESS this past week. Thanks for any comments/preferences.

5D, 17-40 at 17mm, polarizer + GND, 1/2 second at F18

Marc,
My favorite part of the image is the movement in the water and how it leads the eye into the frame. I find the sky a little too magenta in the color version so prefer the B&W one. I think the B&W creates more drama and balances the whole scene. The sky color is too distracting for me in this one.

My vote goes for the B&W version. Both are nice either way you look at them.

Very nice Mark, but I think this one was made to be B&W :toast:

B&W for sure, the magenta in the sky is not doing anything for me. The effect on the water is striking, I've shot a lot of beach scenes at this speed and never ended up with something like this, cool.

I didn't realize the magenta sky was such an issue until I posted it. Sorry. Easy fix. This one any better?

BW works best IMHO for his image.

My vote is for the second color image - it really captures the mood of the PNW coastline. It's almost like a duotone, with the muted tones and strong pink/olive color theme. Another very nice image, Marc! Add this to my Adamus coffee table book..!

A very dramatic shot. I dig it!
