Waterfall attempt
I had the opportunity to visit the same waterfall in Chase County that Ken Bachman did. Unfortunately, 4 pm isn't the best time to visit, but I couldn't stay later. Here are 2 versions of the same pano. Any suggestions on which is better, ways to improve etc, would be appreciated. Thanks Ken for sharing the location, I hope to get a chance to reshoot in July.

Here is version 2. Both versions are similar, but I can't decide if one is "better" than the other, or just different. Thanks for looking.

Rob, of the two I like #1 better. Bright sun light at 4:00 pm isn't very helpful. One suggestion that you might consider is converting either one or both to B&W and see if that makes a differance. Thanks for sharing looks like a great place for waterfall photography!

Rob, looks like image #2 had just a tad more exposure time. I like the extra detail in the water and additional detail in the shadows. There is a lot going on here and there appears to be some nice elements available to "tighten" up the comp. I'd go back and spend some time shooting some verticals with fg rocks and more focus on the falls themselves.

I'm going to have to make the trip here someday myself. Thanks for posting! :wavey:

Hi Rob, Glad to see you found the falls. I think I also like #2 better. There is more detail in the underwater rocks in the foreground. Did you use a polarizer?

Your'e right, mid afternoon light is pretty challenging in that situation, but I bet a full size version still looks pretty nice.

Thanks for the input. I don't have a polarizer yet for this lens, but need to get one.

I'd have to go with #2 as well. I think a polarizer would give you even more detail. And as Wayne mentioned, a tighter comp would be worth experimenting with too. Nice area - thanks for posting Rob!
