When the sun finally hits
I'll bet you remember this, eh Curtis? Decided to jump on the bandwagon with the other posts of the Painted Hills.... Posted before, but I never really cared for the processing - tonight I did a rework.

Canon 1D2, 16-35, polarized

GRRRR!
yeah, I remember, and here you are patiently waiting for the light. I was sitting on my ass (literally) not 20 feet away when you took your photo. that light was so fleeting, that it was gone before I could stand up. That'll learn me!

very nice job on the rework Ned. :toast:

Way to catch that fleeting light, Ned. I've had similar experiences in the hills as you know. This is one of the finest I've seen from here. The dark, moody sky is a great compliment and holds the attention where it belongs.

The "spotlighting" on the distant hills makes for a great effect. I probably would have been sitting next to Curtis, totally unprepared, had I been with you guys. Nice stuff.
