Barn Owl with Vole
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm non IS, 1.4x conv, f8, 1/1250, ISO 320, G1548, G1321, full wimberley head, RAW, RSE, CS2.

Hi All,

Firstly apologies for not contributing much lately, but I have been working away from home on and off for the last few weeks  this has really screwed up my photography plans as well

Anyway, the last couple of nights I have been over the meadows, The male Barn Owl is busy taking food in (they should have their first chicks in the last 10 days) tonight I saw him take in 6 Vole's in about an hour and a half, he was also joined by another male hunting!! I have not got a clue where his nest site is!

I am having a bit of trouble exposing images at the moment, for some reason they are coming out very dark and needing alot of work in CS2, this problem only seems to occur in early/late light as during the day images look fine

Anyway, all comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Yea, lovely. Can not help about exposure as I am struggling with that myself!

Nice shot Rob. Sounds like you could overexpose it a bit on the exposure compensation. That's what I'd try anyway
