A nice spring scene in the Northeast. I have two comments. . . 1) I would have left a bit more space between the tip of the fern and the corner of the frame; and 2) a circular polerizer will remove much of the reflection from water and allow the scene to look better.
Take a careful look around the woods in Vermont this time of year. Chance are you will find some very small spring wildflowers somewhere within 100 yards of this picture!!
Hope you are enjoying springtime in Vermont.
yeh, there have been trillium and some other gorgeous flowers everywhere! I am working at Elmore State Park, so everyday that im done with work I go on walks around this brook. It's really a beautiful area!
Hi, welcome to the east. It is a lot different shooting here than the west. I find it difficult to make some types of shots here. For this one I would suggest cropping the top off to almost a square image. I not sure that the background is giving you much. Also it seams the background is inbetween on sharpness. Not tack sharp but not out of focus eather. It wants to be differant I think. A polerizer is a must here as we have lots of water and mist in the air. I like the concept of this shot and have tried this style a few times myself. Maybe if you sprayed some water on the fern to add interest. Keep trying, I always do.
Just a thought.
