Very cool, Tom. What kind of equipment were you using?
Not sure when this was taken, but the red-shouldered hawks in my yard fledged this week. Over the last week or so, the parents have been flying overhead, calling and doing all sorts of aerobatics. They started to bring food farther and farther from the nest to entice the youngsters to venture out. Since the trees leafed up, I can no longer see them so much as hear their comings and goings.
This pair must be late, as that shot was taken just yesterday. That shot was at 4oomm, and the distance is 35 to 45 feet depending which window you are using and now that I think about which camera took that image that may be a cropped 300mm shot.If you are close to the Library I recomend 7am to 8:30 before the direct glare on the windows.Park across the street for $4.00 all day. If you park on the fourth floor there is a walk way across wick ave.
