Nick, nice shot, checked out your web site and the starling portrait is stunning. looks like the canon is a winner, have you played with the live view yet? how about posting some high iso shots (800) for comparison (this is where my d200 starts to get flaky).

Hi John, Thanks, I will post another when UKNP lets me, there is an ISO1600 photo on my site, I stacked the 1.4 and 2.0 TC's to see how this combo performed, it acquired the AF a lot faster than the same setup + Canon 30D, I can't see much noise maybe because is only a small crop?

the White Pigeon is @ ISO1250

P.S. I loved my D200, if I new what I know now I would have kept it and not messed around buying a D2H and D2X

Cheers

Hi John, Never had a 1DM2n, I switched from Nikon when they announced the 1D MKIII, I purchased a 30D to fill in while I was impatiently waiting for the MKIII to arrive  what a wait!! It was worth it. The setup is very similar to the 30D though but the AF is another thing, I have got a lot of reading and experimenting to do.
