I got up early this morning and headed to my local Dipper stream, and spent 2 hours watching this mother gathering food for her brood.
D200,300mm 2.8, and tripod with Kirk gimbel head.......

Hi Stewart nice shot of the Dipper. Is this the second brood for this pair? On my screen there is a Green cast. :toast:

Nice cap Stewart :toast: - bit of a 'top-shot' for me to be honest and I can see a green cast on my monitor too.

But a tack sharp image and a good exposure :toast: :toast:

Hi Stewart,

Yep, green cast for me too. Although a lower shooting angle would have been nice, a worthwhile shot. The beak full of food gives it another edge too.

Hi Guys, yes there is a green cast over the picture, as I was shooting in a tunnel of green trees, very difficult light , and most shots were either 650iso or up to a1000iso,and the only place you can shoot from is a bridge, as there is no access to the bank side, so that explains it I guess. I could have removed the cast, but I favour leaving as much as possible as it was, but that's just me.
Thanks for looking and commenting

Nice image. Dont particularly like birds with stuff in their beaks but guess thats personal taste!
