One more from the Smokies
How does this one look? I just installed a new video card and LCD monitor, and everything seems to be on the bright side. When I look at it on my old CRT monitor it's a bit dark. Anyway any help would be appreciated

XT, F22, ISO 100, 2sec, EF S10-22@15mm, Cir. Polarizer, Tripod, shutter remote

Looks very dark here with a greenish(?) color cast. But, very lovely image and wonderful composition.

Tom, I love the composition. But it seems to be just a bit blue tinged as well as dark to me. Maybe you need to lighten the new monitor just a bit with a calibration program. I'm running my monitor at about 630 on the brightness scale. Printing from this setting seems to give me what I see on screen.

I have the same problem Thomas. On my SyncMaster 206BW with digital, everything seems to look brighter than on my tube monitor (next to it). I have calibrated it using "0" brightness and "86" contrast and it's still a little lighter than the norm. I see no color cast on the LCD but, the CRT has a bluish tint on most everything. I think it might be a little dark but, I love the comp. If you figure out your LCD, let me know so I can fix mine.

thanks all, I'm not seeing a tint on either of my monitors... I may be in worse shape than I thought :frown:

Bluish, greenish, dark, light are all subjective terms. If this is open shade, the light should be blue - some photographers keep it, some "correct" it. Its your interpretation, Thomas.

For my tastes, it seems a tad dark, but your images have always been on the darker, moodier side. This appears no darker than most of your other work.

Nice image, by the way!
