2 days ago my 580 flash(that was in the pouch)fell out of my bag.And sort of bouced of the carpet with a thud
When i turn on the flash(on and off the camera), there is a clicking sound coming from the flash part that moves in and out inside the casing. And looking in the flash through the reflector it looks like it has gone out of line, hence not moving in and out to corraspond with the ###mm.
Has anyone els has the missfortune to drop theirs, and had the same problem ?
How easy is it to send off to Canon to get it fixed ?
Oh and where in the UK would be the best place to send it ?
I've used Fixation before on a few occasions and have always found them superb and very quick.
Just package your flash in it's original box with a note expaining the problem. Is it still under warranty? If so the bit about it falling onto the carpet could always accidently slip your mind.
Not that I'd advocate omitting such details of course
