Reed Warbler

Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) - Essex, UK

Canon EOS 1Ds2 + 600/f4IS + EF2.0x, Gitzo 1548 with Wimberley Head WH2.
Manual exposure mode - f11, 1/800s, ISO 400, auto white balance.
RAW image processed in Capture One and sharpened in Photoshop CS3.
Full frame.

Thick fog on Sunday morning prevented any photography, but here's one from Saturday. Another of this year's target species, although I was starting to despair about getting one in a decent setting.

Handsome capture Phil - but that little squared off bit of BG bottom right could do with softening a bit - it's probably just me being an awkward git but its really catching my eye.

Other than that a really lovely image - wish it was mine :toast: :toast: :toast:

I love it, the muted colours of the bg, Your pretty little bird in complimentary colours, its pose and perch. Simply beautiful.

Certainly a really nice image Phil. That old F11 with the 2x has worked a treat. Quality image...as usual!!

Fantatstic quality despite the harsh lighting conditions - as to be expected -

I cant make up my mind what the black objects in the throat region are - 3 or 4 feather ticks?
