FOXGLOVE
I just finished up my workshop here in Oregon and am heading back to Ohio in about an hr ( another delayed flight---grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!).

This is foxglove. It grows wild out here. It can be found as a white or pinkish-purple plant. I know I am going to spell this wrong, but this is the plant that digitalis ( an important heart medicine) comes from.

Getting the background right was the hardest part of this shot. I wish that this plant had some medicinal remedies for back pain---cause that's what this shot caused!

I processed this on my laptop ( to kill a few minutes here in the Portland Airport) so this may not be as good as I can do in PS in my home office ( laptops are not ideal for processing... not at all)

Very nice Jack, I think the composition is lovely. Good work on the background too by the way, it was worth the effort.

Welcome back, Jack. Beautiful composition and detail. The "hairs" on the edge of the petals are amazing. Hope your back has recovered (the things we do for our art!).

I have been enjoying just clicking through some of the great images presented here on MWNP over the past several weeks. This one, foxlove, made me gasp. To me, this is simply stunning. Thanks so much for sharing.
