Was scrambling up above Blue Lake, Sierra Blanca, yesterday (tons of snow above 12K ft!) on my way out, noticed a big thunderstorm over the range headed SE, and figured i'd have a decent shot at great dunes lighting, so i headed up to the dunes lot and waited for the driving rain to quit. The cold east wind coming down from the mts was vicious, and it looked like i was out of luck since cloud debris was killing the sunlight. FInally, 15 minutes before sunset i got the lucky break. Here's the intro, comments welcome! On the first shot, i adjusted the WB in RAW, because as auto it looked too blue to me, in the second i left it as auto.

2 repliesI really like the second one. It might be nice if the people were not centered, but that is no big deal.
The first one is nice, but looks a little grainy/noisy and it makes it hard to differentiate between the image grain and the blowing sand.
