Hi all

Out walking my Old English Sheepdog today along the banks of the River Dee and I noticed that the Large Skipper butterflies were out and about. Now I know for sure summer has arrived.

As is the way with these busy little butterflies, they ploughed a furrow flitting between some patches of Red Clover and Tufted Vetch (pictured) and back again. Judging by their vibrant colours, I guess they may well have emerged today.

PS: the ant was a bonus!

Hi Barry,
I've been frantically chasing this species around too over the last week, not managed anything half as good as yours though.
A superb image in every respect with the ant being the icing on the cake.
First class.
