You can check out this website to see the progress of the Lupine bloom in the Sugarhill, NH area: http://www.harmanscheese.com/lupinephotos.html
It looks like the blooms have started but they look a ways from peak, at least to my eye. This website also mentioned that last spring the big field with the wagon wheel was partially plowed under to control weeds. Hopefully this year that filed will make a come back! I still think the best weekend to have a day up in Sugarhill will be next weekend June 16th or 17th. Lets use this forum to see who who like to go to Sugarhill one day next weekend for the Lupines?
The current forecast for the Sugarhill area fo rthe weekend is for over cast sky on Saturday, and partly sunny on Sunday. That will probably change but there it is.
Who is up for a Lupine day that weekend?
Do you think the lupines will last until the end of June? Also, are these lupines just hanging along the road edges, or are they in a parc with some other natural scenery like mountains, lakes, waterfalls, etc?
These Lupines are in fields, along the side of the road, and in a couple of areas that are open to the public. there are certainly plenty of places to get close to them. There are mountains around the village of Sugarhill ( it is just north of Franconia Notch) There are many waterfalls in Franconis Notch ( check out the walking trail at the Basin), and there are even a few Lakes around if you look carefully. The Lupines should be mostly gone by the end f June in an average year but there are always some late bloomers.

Jim....I am thinking of Saturday. Looks like maybe rain Saturday night Sunday am.
Just got back, not the greatest year in Sugar Hill, but the St. Matthew's field is great. The sampler field is really a must pass this year, hopefull for next year.
I found GREAT lupines on Day 2 of my journey along the Rt.2 Corridor from Lancaster to Jefferson. Highly reccommended! Pictures soon...
Thanks for the Update and the images form Sugarhill. I thought that the big field with the wagon wheel would not be up to it;s usual as they plowed the field last year to do weed control. I am going to have to check out the Rt 2 area between Lancaster and Jefferson. I like your river shots!
If if weren't for the church field, I would say to completely scratch sugar hill this year. Follow the Isreal river from valley rd, rt 2, 115 and 115a and you will find what you are after!
