Hi all

I moved to the Cheshire / Wirral / North Wales borders in August last year and have only recently had a chance to explore my local areas of interest.

My time is going to be limited with photo work committments over the next few months so I thought I would ask anyone who lives in the area if they know of any good locations specifically for the smaller stuff (butterflies, dragonflies, damsles, demoiselles etc)

Thanks

Hi Barrie, I live in Hollingworth in Cheshire, and my girlfriend's family live in chester, i have a number of suggestions.

If your a RSPB member Inner Marsh Farm is very nice, near Neston, though its betterfor waders and birds

Frodsham Marsh is a nice spot too, a good spot for butterflies.

If you dont a mind a little drive Tatton Park is excellent for dragonflies and damsles.

If you fancy a longer drive, i could give you a good walk around my neck of the woods, in the Pennines.

Hi Barrie - have you tried this link http://www.wildlifetrust.org.uk/cheshire/

You'll find quite a few areas on there whith the fauna you are after.

If you find yourself around the Sandbach/Crewe area drop me a line or give me a call - Nick should be putting me number up on the photographers page shortly.

Thanks guys for your input.

I am a member of both the Wildlife Trust and the RSPB so I'll take a look at the places you suggest. With so many opions and so little time, it's good to have some recommendations

Thanks again
