Hi,
Made my eyes stream with hey fever, and got savaged by mosquitoes getting shots of these and other dragons on sunday, still came back feeling good inside though.

Cheers

Great lighting Tim. It can be worth the Hay Fever on occasion.

Lovely image, Tim, with your customary sharpness and exemplary technique.
Maybe consider cloning out the OOF brown background blob below the bottom wing?

Hi Gary,
I used F/8, it is a crop 10% off either end. I think I had a 20mm extension tube on, pretty sure.

Hi Tim thanks for the prompt reply
the DOF seems more than I get with my 180 macro, I will have to give it a rest
and try some Dragonfly shots with my 300.

Beautiful. Absolutely stunning. Can I ask where you go for your dragonflies? :toast:

Hi Elliott,
Can I point you towards this website which has numerous links so you may find a local patch:-

http://www.dragonflysoc.org.uk/

Can't see the point of travelling far for something when its on your doorstep, carbon foot print and all that.
