Here's a picture i took with my small point&shoot HP camera while on a ledge on Yosemite's Washington Column.

Some CANP uninspired material:

Thistle

And some man-and-nature material:

Western man climbers

Comments  and criticisms  welcome

Dan,

Unfortunately the thistle image doesn't do much for me. The only thing that draws my attention is the feeling of distance to the background - and if it weren't for your description of being up on Washington column, I might not have even felt that. Also it's a little dark.

In contrast, I love the climber image against the deep blue sky. This is a very striking and dynamic image with climbers above and below. this is a great image!

Thanks for sharing.

I like the climbing shot though the guy on top barely visible due to the sky being darker. why not just post the images on the forum?

These are 2 girls BTW.

IF the top one is too dark, it's my fault, I over processed the brightness/contrast then...

I didn't post directly because I have a cap of 1 pic per week.
I already posted to fauna:

I really like the two climbers - very dramatic.

Hi Dan,

The photo of the two climbers is lovely...nice graphic elements and strong subject matter.

I see quite a bit of pixelation (noise?) in the sky. What could be causing this?
