Black-tailed Darter getting born
Hi Guys,

Went out this morning to look for Orchids in my favourite nature reserve near my home and stumbled upon this Black-tailed Darter wich was just leaving his Larvae-body.

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Oh getting Born! I thought Horn! Hey nice pic, is this taken at Gary's place? Background is so similar. Interesting that the wings are opague to start with, looks like a ghost.
Neat shot.

Hi Guys,

This one was shot at nature reserve De Kievit in Harmelen/The Netherlands right behind my home. I saw the emerging dragon and cut-off the grass he was on and connected it to a 50cm high pole at about 3 meters from a nice marsh-land and just sat down ...waited....and shot every 5 minutes...
I had witnessed an emerging dragon before from the start, but this one was allready half-way..

Greetings,

Perfect depth of field with all the body sharp and the background diffused. So strange to see this white. Looks like a moulted skin! I have seached high and low for emerging draginflies, but no luck... yet. :wavey: :toast: :toast:
