A Northumberland one, taken near the golf course at Embleton. Managed to get close enough with 500mm, quite like the lack of surrounding colour think it shows off the bird well.
A rather unusual BG and i agree it shows the bird well! I would clone out the OOF branch in the lower left part of the photo and perhaps crop it a little tighter.
Well done getting this beautifull bird in front of your lens!

Nice picture of the Bird unusual surroundings Tim. What is behind the bird?

Always a pleasure to be in such close proximaty to such a delightful songster.
Looks like you handled a potentially tricky lighting situation very well here.

Tim - you're lucky to get one perched in order to see the tail - damned if I can, they're all perched ontop of young chestnut trees or hawthorn hedge tops here
BG is a bit 'garish' but what the heck - you take these little buggers wherever you can - nice cap with good detail

Nice shot of the bird, well exposed too.
Not too fond of bg though, but..what can you do!

That's a tree canopy, its just on a lower branch and the sun was low enough to reach the bird.
