You may have heard that the Short Off area of the Linville Gorge was on fire again. This time it is believed that it was lightning that ignited the fire and not a campfire.
Taken Weds. 6/13/07 on the powerhouse side of Lake James with Table rock in the back ground. Short Off Mtn is on the left shrouded in smoke.
Canon 400D,18-55mm,1/25 @ f13.
Just goes to show how dry the conditions have been around here recently, thankfully we're getting some rain this week, hopefully it helps!.

Lots of fires out and about. LeAnn I have to say, you have some of the best photos I have ever seen taken with the 18 - 55 lens. You do really great at Landscapes.

Dang, Shortoff has really been hit hard this year . I hope the recent rain has extinguished the worst of the fires.
