Hi,
I'm in the market for a new camouflage jacket and am settling on an advantage timber job. They're quite tricky to sample firsthand on the highstreet. Has anyone tried both the Garlands 1094 jacket (as seen on warehouseexpress for eg) and the 5in1 that wildlife watching supplies sell? Wondering how they compare - mainly in terms of durability and weatherproofing. I have seen the reversible WWsupplies jacket but somehow it was tailored more toward the plain side than the camou side in terms of zips and pockets which didn't quite suit me. I want something that can be lightweight enough for summer but adaptable enough for winter. And quiet of course. Any opinions /recommendations appreciated,
I got a brochure come through from KAMMO,they had a very nice selection of various camaflaged jackets and even included a few swatches of the various fabrics. They looked very comfortable and functional.
I couldn't quite come to terms with paying nearly £250 for a nice new jacket only to crawl around in the mud and gravel stalking photogenic subects, perhaps one day
Try putting in Realtree jackets/coats in ebay, it gives a fair few options.
Regards
Rob

Mike - Deer Hunter clothing is excellent and good vfm, and readily available.
Another line thats very good, well priced and very hard wearing is Shimano Tribal - you'll find this in most good angling outlets.
I've dealt with Cabelas myself for years and they are the only company I'll buy from mail order - the gear is all inspected before it goes out (typical yank attitude to customers - brilliant), but if I'm buying in the UK I'll only buy what I can put in my hand.
Kammo are excellent - I've had one of thier jackets for ages now and it's faultless, in the winter its wonderful.
Another line of clothing well worth a look is Laksen - very high quality.
An item of clothing I find very usefull are Deer Hunter and Tribals 'Salopettes' - great for crawling around in and they keep your back warm and stop you 'comming apart in the middle'
