Taken a couple of evenings back. Found it extremely difficult trying to get a shot of the swallows as they flew to and from the nest. I sat myself down on the flight path with the setting sun behind me. This was one of only 2 shots I got worth keeping during my 3 hours there, they are so so fast and quite brilliant to watch at close quarters.
This has been cropped a fair bit which is why it's a tad soft but I'm just glad to have come away with something

Cool shot Paul - you might be able to pull the sharpness back a bit more with a high pass filter layer in CS, and that slightly blown highlight on the birds right 'armpit' might well make a good candidate for having a go with Elliotts' excellent tutorial.
This is WAYYY better than anything I've got of swallows this year so far so I'm in no position to judge mate
Agree with Andy's comments. Just to get one not clipped is a challenge so you have done very well. Well done for taking the time to observe then coming away with a nice image.
Regards
Rob

Well done Paul for getting it in the frame!
The only try I had was about a year back and came nowehere near as good as this so I would be well chuffed.
