Hi everyone, this is my first post and I thought I'd share something from my recent trip to Moab. I was taking abstract silouhettes of Double Arch, when I stranger in the distance jumped up on the ledge, stood there for about 5 seconds and disappeared. I quickly snapped, and he was gone. For me, he made the picture, since he shows the vast scale of the arches compared to little ol' us. Thanks for looking.

There are several things I like about this image. The silhouette makes a great abstract and the graphic design is nicely done. The person standing in the arch provides a feeling for the size of the arch, his placement in the lower third is well done. A great first post and thanks for sharing!

Absolutely wonderful use of negative space Dena! Very well composed and what a fortunate moment to have the man step inside the "mask"! A very compelling image. Fantastic first post, can't wait to see more!

That's a really great picture, Dena - and the figure does make the image. I've stood in that spot and have been similarly impressed by the scale of the arches. Neat place! Thanks for posting!
Dena,
This is an awesome shot! I love the blue color, the silhouette effect, and the composition. How cool is it that someone decided to jump into your shot and make it really special! I definitely think you should post this one to the main NPN network - it would get a lot of attention. Can't wait to see more of your Moab photos.
