I have heard mention of this in several peoples posts.
so bear with me and see if I have this right or am I missing something
after I work my image in ACR in CS3 it creates an XMP file as a copy to the orig....when I go back to open the orig file, it always opens the XMP file....
so how do I get the orig file to open again...I must be missing something here.....
The XMP file just holds your settings -- exposure, contrast, etc. You are free to change those. To get back to the original settings in CS2 ACR you can pick "Camera Raw Defaults" from the Settings drop down box.
Sometimes I make a copy of my original RAW file so that I can maintain two independent settings.
