Mark got me excited about doing panos in CS3 and I tried one out. OMG! It is way way too easy now! This here is 10 shots. The frame is 5 shots wide, approximately overlapped 1/3 upon eachother...with exposures taken for the sky and the foreground. I didn't think it would blend the dual exposures very well, but it did! This surely wants me to take more panos!

It's pretty big, so here's the link to the image:

make sure you expand it to full res in your browser...dont let it leave it resized to fit IE

I love the expansive view, puffy clouds, contrasting colors and opposing buttes keeping the eye heading in.

Very sweet! I've done a couple panos and agree CS3 does a great job with them. Nice work Rick!

Don't hold your breath.

So, five shots across but two shots of each, one for the sky and one for the foreground? You just selected them all and it did this?

Holy Jamollly!

Yeah..I know...its crazy! I dont understand how it blended the clouds since they were moving so quickly...

Very cool, I gotta try this new feature. Image looks great!

The sky blend is very impressive -- a real weak spot on earlier versions of Photoshop, in my experience. One more reason to buy an upgrade, I guess. Really nice image, Rick. This would make for a gorgeous print!

That's amazing that it will blend the exposures, too. I love those clouds, too.
