I feel like I am right there....although these are not pleasing images to the eye...the light you have captured is amazing for this scene..

I think this is a great scene.

Very engaging image Mark. I can smell the smells and hear the echos as I walk through the building. :toast:

Thanks for the detailed description, Mark. Nice work with the luminosity and levels here. The composition is telling and engaging, though I might take a tiny bit off the top. 4 comments in 5 views? Why aren't you guys out shooting this weekend?!

Marc, I just got home from the Gorge....I don't take an umbrella with me, maybe I should...I could have spent a lot more time up there....

This one is really cool Mark. I'm all over it...but also agree with the crop Marc suggested.

Yeah Baby! Boy would I love exploring to see where that stairway leads...

It's Father's Day, Marc, we're all home getting waited on hand and foot.

Mark H,

You're getting WHAT? Man, I'm coming to your house! I'm not getting waited on at all! We're buying my fathers (Dad and step Dad) pizza at Rocky's in Battle Ground this afternoon. Just sitting around here waiting to leave.

If the clouds break up a little I might get in a sunset down at the mill pond tonight.

p.s. yeah, all four of my parents get along since they got old and mellow... it's weird

There you go again, Mark! Where do you FIND these decrepit places? Cool image. I like it. Provocative of a mix of feelings including curiosity, a measure of disgust, a dash of sadness. Wonder who lived there and what happened...

Happy father's day to all you guys. Whether you have children or not, your father instincts are there and I salute you for them. :wavey:

Mark, I remember it well. I took my wife up there to explore that house about 3 weeks ago. Think maybe I will post the front outside view To break my "Posting Block" that I have been in for a month now.

Yeah, Jerry, I was wondering what you've been up to when I posted this. Are you going to make the Photoshop PNWNP get together at my place on the 30th?

Mark, just got back from 3 day camp out with VW bus group. 50 busses in Maupin. Just read about the 30th and hope to be there. :toast:

That's a cool image, Mark - interesting and kinda creepy. Given your trips to the SW, I'm assuming that you've been through Bodie State Historic Park in the eastern Sierra? Lots of scenes like this... and a few ghosts, I'm sure!

It's old, but the rooms are cheap and the room service is great.
The lighting and processing are superb here.
