Another very busy week in Flora with some excellent images posted again. Total postings wer down a little; only 82. However quality ruled over quantity. I must admit that I did not go through as much angst as I usually do because I thought Maureen Pulignano's late entry Bulbophyllum grandiflora was one of the most spectacular flora shots I've seen this year. In terms of technical excellence with regard to lighting, DOF, composition and presentation this image has it all and on top of that the subject matter is unique and compelling. Others who really shone this week were two SOA entries by Bernie Kasper that can be seen here and here, another masterpiece by Mike Moatshere, a wonderful leaf study by Rick Tomalty, an elegant kiss by Giuseppe Guadagno, and a BOLD entry by Larry Lynch. Thanks again to everyone who posted images and comments. I'll announce an upcoming theme within the next day or so. Keep up the flow of fine images and critiques.
