Wahkeena Blooms
As I took a stroll along the creek yesterday morning I noticed these nice yellow blooms...I wish there was more water in the creek this time of year. I just did what I could with what I had to work with....

D70
200 IS0
1 sec @ F/9
polarizer filter
tripod
slight wind
wet feet
Crappy attitude

Thanks for looking and leaving a comment

Ha ha... I'll bet the wet feet contributed to #2.. I used to get my feet wet EVERY single photo trip. I shopped for chest waders for a long time, but they are expensive and heavy. But as it turns out, my waterproof pants and gore tex lined boots are good enough when I tie the bottom of the pants around my ankles with a bit of 550 cord. Flip-flops just won't protect your feet when climbing in most rocky creeks.

I think you have had better compositions out of this area, but the exposure and processing looks very good to me.

I think the blooms are hidden too much to warrent attention. You might dodge the top of the stream at left for more emphasis there, but I'm afraid it's probably just going to be relegated to a second rate shot IMO. Your other one from above Elowah was pretty dang nice though.

Thanks, sometimes I just post the shot I feel was good for the day....I like posting and getting feedback even when I know they are not top shots....thats how I can adjust for next time...I have several comps of this area....I went up there to Wahkeena falls looking for my signature shot that I took a couple years ago but the wind and mist were just too much....

It's nice, and it's well done but I don't find it compelling, it doesn't draw me in. Things seem too far apart in it.
