Pine Hill Lupines
I shot this in Jefferson Last Wednesday. I don't think it is as strong as my other recent lupine shots, but I still like it.

Would like to hear your thoughts...

Hi Jim!! I have enjoyed your lupine shots!! And this one is no exception. Very pretty. I can't place what the yellow flowers/buds are. I might crop just a bit off the left..it's a straight line of green and breaks the pattern of flowers. Small nit. Good job!!

Jim,
I really like this! My only nit is the sky seems a tad too light.
Oh, I think the yellow flowers might me Golden Alexanders (Zizia aurea), but it is hard to tell at this size.

Jim,

Good shot. I suspect that this shot might not seem as good as your other Lupine shots because i do not view this as a Lupine shot. . . I view it as a landscape shot with Lupines in it! The thing I like about this image is the layers of color and textures: field with flowers, two colors of green from the trees, the mountains, the clouds with alpen glow and the blue sky.
Next year if you can do this shot again you might try and find some foreground like a stone wall or a fence or something that might sharpen the perspective a bit?
