I posted this in ESS forum. I made some adjustments based on the input offered. I'm posting it here to keep our local group active.
I went to the beach, but there was not interest in the sky whatsoever, not even a single cloud, but I took the opportunity to actually scout for good locations for the next time I try again. I liked this particular location, and I will make sure to be back when the weather is helping out.
This is a wonderful seascape. I was on the coast that weekend as well - clear, no fog - which has it's good points and bad points. I really like what you've captured here, despite the blank sky. In fact I love the colors of the sky and pastels as Anil pointed out. Very nice in all respects.

Lon, I saw your message about locations around this area on Monday already too late. For next time, Let me know and we can probably meet if I'm available. I like Pescadero Beach, Pebble Beach, and Bean Hollow from the section from Half Moon Bay to Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Pigeon Point is actually pretty nice too.

Pretty good image that excellent clouds might offer a great image for. I've worked that coastline quite a lot though usually don't bother with sunsets due to our chronically dim heavy marine air.
I'm going to be out in that area, or more specifically Pigeon Point, this Saturday as I've volunteered for some work mitigating the unnatural like pulling up iceplant. ...David
