Easter Island Head and Friends
On this very cool beach, the same that I encountered the sneaker wave there was this sea stack that looked a lot like the heads on easter island. This was one of the last shots I took that evening.

Zachariah Schnef? What like you didn't have enough odd letters in your name before?
Oh yeah, the photo. This is pretty sweet, Zack, It's graphic as well as landscape.

Actually, it's Schnepf. Amazingly my last name is made up of 7 consonants and 1 vowel, amazing german engineering eh?

Hey Zack - I like the contrast in the rushing wave as the patterns are evenly placed. The three silhouetted haystacks give the image depth and some mood. Up in the middle the wave seem to curve right at you !

Love the colors. Upper left corner seems a bit dark/uneven, although i know it's just the vignetting from the GND. The wave patterns are a nice lead, and overall a great shot, but I don't like it as much as your other work. It is a bit too minimal for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great shot, but it reminds me of early work I used to do that didn't have much going on in them except for color. It's just a personal thing I guess, but I like your more intricate work.

This would make a great mag cover though, with plenty of room for a heading and all that stuff...

Actually Darien, I completely agree, I prefer my more intricate work as well. This is not my favorite image, it is a fun graphic image though.

This is sweet! Very graphic, colorful and contains only the bear essentials.

Don't change a thing, Zack - this is a really nice, clean image. Don't cringe, but this could work as a stock image for advertising work, given the foreground.

The resemblance is uncanny... Did you see "Night at the Museum" ? I think the one on the left wants gum.

Ditto everyone above, but don't underestimate how many non-photographers might want something like this on their walls. I do really like these colors and the very low perspective.

this is great Zack. And I really enjoyed seeing your images at the EPI exhibition. Way to go! :toast:
