Since I wanted you all to be first to know (don't know when it will be posted to the website and media) I am proud, yet humbled to be accepting the Grand Prize overall and an honorable mention in this years celebration of mountain imaging, the Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Grand Prize was given for 'Winter's Fury'

An honorable mention for landscape category was awarded to 'The Storm Wall'

Awards are given to photographs best depicting the mountain environment and landscape from around the World.

Darren, I don't know for sure other than the $1000 from Banff Centre. Other stuff includes being published by National Geographic and cool things from the sponsors.

Thanks all.

You are really on a roll! Looks like nothing can stop your career train now, Marc! Enjoy the ride. Well deserved honors.

Awesome, Marc! What an honour! It is wonderful to have as a moderator somebody who already is a great and is to become even more famous as time goes by. I always thought that great photographers are removed from us more mortal ones - but on this website we are able to see your photos, comment on them, hear about your adventures and every now and then get a comment from you. That is really special - in the days of Galen Rowell, people did not have that honour. Don't leave us, man!
