Was in norfolk last week . Weather not too good so i had just cleared a small area of ferns next to this old tree stump ready to put a few scraps for the jays.
When i came back a few minutes late with some titbits for the birds i saw this snake sunbathing. I called the wife to have a look and that was my biggest mistake of the week. We had to have all the doors and windows shut ever night and regular under the bed checks. lol. I havent done anything with the image except slight crop . It did have a sort of V marking on the back of its head but im not sure what model it is.

I thought it propably was but ive never had anything to do with shakes. I got quite a few shots but this was the best of em.I nearly trod on another one later in the evening on a narrow footpath while trying to shoot a couple of barn owls. Also shot a few small lizzards sunbathing nut my macro is not good so i binned them.
Regards.

Nice shot to have Matt
I have to say I'd be tempted to buy a big rubber snake from the toy shop in readiness for the next underbed check
