I've been transfixed with smart objects and smart filters lately. They're probably the most interesting thing I've worked with in CS3. Very flexible and incredibly powerful (and the "RAW" smart object is especially cool!). I've been reworking all of my normal processing to use them as their base. Photoshop keeps me on my toes for sure!
Anyway, here's a little succulent from the back yard - the colors look great on my laptop monitor but may not look so good (or may be better) on others.
Canon 20D
ISO 100
1/15s @ f2.8 (Wayne - I guess that's SOA?)

Thanks for looking. It's fantastic to see so many great new photographers (well, new to the forum anyway!) posting here.
Tim, nice shot & great colors. But it's the soft repeating backgroud that I like that makes the sharp flower really pop.

SOA indeed! The background is really nice and it fairly makes the blooms jump off the screen! The effect is so nice I find myself wanting even more dof in the blooms! Isn't that just the way .... I'm never satisfied! Good shot Tim!
Color looks great to me, Tim! I am kinda on the fence with the composition though. It just feels a little unbalanced with the bloom being down in the corner. That's just my take, I'm sure it wouldn't bother others in the least. Nice work!
