Made a run to Eshqua Bog today and the Showies are struting their stuff. In all the years I have gone there, this is the best by far. I couldn't even begin to count the numbers and they are all in bloom. Quite a few photographers there today too! Unfortunately, the wind was not behaving much this morning, but I did manage to get a few decent shots.
Oh, one of these years! This is a fantastic shot of them, and I like how you've included enough environment to make this really sing. Love it.
Beautiful flowers!

Very nice, Richard! One of the nicest shots I've seen of the slippers. Really beautiful shot.
It's taken me 2-3 years, but I was finally able to track some down. Last weekend I found the beginning pair of leaves. Could you tell me approximately how long it takes for the lady's slippers to bloom from that point? It's been a week so I was planning to go check on them again tomorrow.
