An image of a friend during an excursion in the mount baker-snoqualmie wilderness. Thanks for your comments.

Sigma 10-20mm. Polarizer. f16.

if it were vertical, it could be a Backpacker cover. :toast:

Beautiful image, I agree I can see this as a cover for Backpacker mag. My only nit is the bit of haloing on the ULC tree line. Impressive image.

Thanks curtis and zack! I believe the halo is attributed to the fact that the sun is directly behind the ridge on the left.

Trevor, I think you have the knack for perfectly exposed and lighted images like Mr. Adamus

I look forward to watching your progress. Keep up the good work..... :toast:

Thank you.

As much as I'd like to accept that compliment fully, Darren, with much respect to Mr. Adamus, I'll say I am very much comparitively in the developmental stage in that area. I can comfortably say this still being in my early twenties.

I can say this much though, I would certainly love to have a similar level of free time to absorb and photograph nature, much like he did and still has in his twenties.

Trevor,
Love the feeling of being there in this shot. Looks like a great place to hike. I'll say that on my monitor, it feels dark in the shade, but just a smidgeon.

Trevor,
It's been said above, but it won't hurt to say it again. It really does give a sense of "being there" and it does look like a perfect cover for a backpacking magazine or book. Great photo!

Wish I was there. Excellent job of giving the feeling of being there. Ya know, I really do dig this shot.
