Here's a couple hand-held grabs from the wet mtn valley the other day, the sun and showers cooperated for some real brilliant bows.

Good capture! Rainbows can be hard. Nice.

Thanks, guys! Can anyone tell me what effect a polarizer can have on a rainbow? I shot a couple with and a couple w/o since i wasn't sure what it would do.

Nice bow captures Stan. A polarizer can increase the intensity and/or even eliminate a rainbow, depending on your angle of view. Just try rotating your polarizer next time your shooting one.

Nice Stan, I never seem to have a camera handy when a bow appears. Very cool!

Wow, these rainbows really did pop for ya. Did ya find a pot o' gold?

Of course, Doug! I immediately went to Poag's in Wescliffe for a burger (best in CO) and a pint of Guiness (liquid gold)

Outstanding rainbow shots. I have had a very hard time getting the rainbows to look this good.
