This was taken about 15 minutes after the previous shot I posted. The breeze began to blow and I couldn't get a shutter speed fast enough to stop the motion of the Yucca plant so I recomposed w/o it. Never did think about just increasing my ISO. What a dope. Does the empty foreground detract too much from the nice light??

Hopefully these shots have encouraged some of you guys and gals to consider heading east to the plains instead of into the mountains when you get the itch to give your photo equipment a workout.

Holy Moly! I love the color and simplisity of this! This is honestly now a dead right favorite of mine.

I like the light too. Not having anything prominent in the foreground makes the buttes and clouds more interesting. Nice.

The foreground compliments this image nicely. Congrats on making a fine P' Buttes series.

Very nice Doug. I think the foreground still works fine here, it has some great layers in it leading up to the Buttes. And of course, the sky just tops it off!

I sure do have an itch to see the Buttes now. Great shot Doug.

Wonderful shot. Exposure is just about perfect. You could always crop to a pano but I like as is. I wonder if the vegetation is a lot browner already after the last few days of sun?
