Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and say hello to the members of the CSNP forum - looks like it is an active place!

Here's a sample macro image I took while out on a cabin retreat near Boxley at the end of May. It's a Hover Fly on a wild Purple Spiderwort.

Cheers,
Marc

edit: My bad - it's actually a blue one - I went back and checked other images - there are blue and purple ones where I took the shots. Sorry for the confusion!

Really nice detail on the bee, Marc. The flower seems to have lost some color along the way, but the bee is the center of attention and that's perfect!

Welcome to the forum, Marc! Excellent macro work with the bee, but the spiderwort color does seem a little faded. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

I apologize for that color confusion - added an edit below the original post. That spiderwort is indeed blue - I have images of them without the Hover Fly and no flash, plus I found the images of the purple ones to confirm this. I should pay more attention...
