OK, all great endeavors start with either a leap of faith or a little dip into the pool. We'll dip into the shallow end with the first theme. Images should be taken with apertures no smaller that f5.6. We'll be looking for a defined point(s) of focus with very shallow DOF. The shot above is an example.
The first theme week will be July 8-14. All images, including those not fitting the theme, will continue to be eligible for consideration for the Moderator's Pick so if this is just not your cup of tea go ahead with your regular posts. I've developed a long list of potential themes. We'll start off doing this once a month and continue depending on interest. I'll post another shot in the forum as a reminder a day or two ahead. Happy shooting everyone.
It seems that the "minimalistic" views in the world of macro has been becoming a lost art of sorts, while many will lean towards the maximum depth and details all over the place.
This image of yours truly shows what can be done by keeping it simple!
