.....Oregon State for winning the College Baseball World Series, two years in a row. Being a Wazzu grad it pains me to admit they are the better team. (There's more to life than photography, right?)

I'm a Beaver, and am thrilled to have them pull this off, for two reasons: (a) great inspiration for kids following the team, since both championship clubs were made up of "average" students that any kid could relate to, and (b) Phl Knight is just spitting tacks tonight at the fact that his alum doesn't even HAVE a baseball team, so there's no place for him to pour his cash in this particular sport.
I did note that the Ducks had the poor taste of choosing THIS WEEK to release some statement to the press about how "they're thinking about restarting their baseball program." So it must be bugging the hell out of them down in Eugene. Well, when Phil Knight does buy them a new team, I'm sure their custom uniforms will be as... er... "unique"... as they are expensive!
I've watched every game intensly. Definatly a great accomplishment. Especially since they were the 65th and last team invited to the tournament and had a losing record durning pac 10 play. Then not losing a game through the whole tournament with almost a complete turnover of players from last years championships team, WOW!!
Mark, just wait until basketball season and the Cougs will make up for it (probably not a national championship, but in the Pac-10). I'm a Wazzu grad as well, but I had to root for the Beavs all the way. It was great to see them win it. (It's very difficult for me to root for the ducks, its almost like rooting for the Huskies).
