Hi gang,

We bought a Tamron 200-500mm f/5.0-6.3 zoom lens recently. Today our friendly chipmunks came out in between rain storms to munch on some grass seed and say hello. So I stood in the kitchen doorway and clicked off a few frames. This is at least a 50% crop from full frame but I think it still came out pretty dang nice.

Plopping down over $6k for a Canon 500mm f/4.0 IS L just isn't something that we could do anytime soon short of winning the lottery I never play so this is for us the next best thing.

I see plenty of nice sharp images from that lense over on the avian forum. Congrats and this is a very nice, cute scene too!

Handheld? Wow, this seems quite sharp. Nice one, Rick.

Looks awesome here - that is a very decent lens for the money from reviews and images I've seen. You did good :toast:
